  In China, there are over 55 ethnic groups.  Each group has its own unique tradition of dance and music.  Peacock is considered a sacred bird among the Dai people in the Yunnan province, and The Peacock Dance is one of the most beautiful dances from this region.  In it, the dancer creates graceful movements derived from imitating the peacock drinking water, walking, running, combing it’s feathers.
