"Chopstick Dance" originated in the Erdos Plain in Inner Mongolia China.

During festival celebrations, Mongolian people gather to feast upon food and wine. Afterwards, they rise and dance with the chopsticks to express joy and happiness. Mongolian dances are known for their passionate and bold qualities, which is thought to parallel their people's character. Circular gestures and shoulder movements are very stylized, an indication of a Mongolian’s life on horseback.
