The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company is one of the few go-to sources of Asian American culture and educational programs in the NY/NJ/PA area. Over the past five years, nearly 1,000 schools have had direct contact with the Company’s dancers.
I am surprised to see such a level of maturity in my students' performance. They are able to deliver complex emotions in the dance.

What we can do for you:
Our workshops can fit seamless into your school's schedule, either in-school or after school, depending on your needs.
Long-Term Residencies - The Company assigns one Company teaching artist and one Company dancer to provide professional-development seminars; curriculum materials developed in collaboration with teachers are used to deliver approximately 50 workshops in dance movement, visual arts, and music that involve community artists, Company dancers, and prominent guest artists/designers. The program culminates in an all-school China Day Festival.
Short-term residencies - The Company offers 45 to 60-minute workshops that can take place in one class period or span across multiple days. We also use components from our Long-Term Residency model in many of the Company’s short-term residencies.
